Simply run the installer again. Uncheck "Perform quick upgrade", so that you get to see all options. Change the settings to the correct values and install. You don't need to uninstall first.

Or you can change the settings manually:
1) LAV Splitter > Preferred Languages (this has effect on embedded audio/subs)
2) MPC-HC options > Playback > Default track preference (this affects external subs)
3) Haali Media Splitter > Options > Languages (this does not matter much since Haali is not used by default)

You can find a list of the three letter language codes here:

Did you accidentally select the wrong language, or did the installer default to using the wrong ones? If the installer detected it wrong, could you give some details about the wrong and correct languages, and which language and country settings you have in Windows?

I was select wrong primary language when upgrade from 10.6.9. Manual setting above didnt work for me, I play naruto film (it has .ass subtitle built-in/hardsub) but didnt shows on mpc-hc. I was tick "shows subtitle when audio..."
My problem solved, just reinstall & untick it.
