Installation or download page info suggestion - MPCHC version is optimised for current codecs
Hi gang,
Long time user of the pack. Great work, much appreciated.
My suggestion is that this info be given at an earlier point, ie. on download page or on an installer page.
PS. When registering for the site I would have preferred not to have my password sent to me. Just my username would have been adequate.
Thanks again for the work the pack assemblers do,

- After installing latest pack I realised that MPCHC had released a newer version
- MPCHC installer from http://mpc-hc.org/downloads/ installs to a different default directory to K-Lite so then I had a duplicate install
- It was only when uninstalling both versions, installing MPCHC then then installing pack again before I was notified that the codec pack was optimised for the specific MPCHC version.

None of the components from the pack should be updated manually. At least not using an installer. Also, the components in the pack are usually newer than the 'official' downloads, as stable development builds are used. This also means that even when a new official version of a component is released, that most of the changes are already incorporated into the version that is included in the codec pack. The last number in the MPC-HC version is the number of changes since the latest release. Simply wait a few days and the pack will offer an update with the latest stuff.
