Have to Cycle audio tracks for corret playback
Hi All,
On some of the larger MKV files that I'm playing through MPC I need to cycle through the audio tracks in order for the playback to work correctly. It seems like the video is on fast forward when I first play it. Switching between the secondary track and then back to the main track fixes it.
I'm running on a Windows 7 box using the mega 10.6 K-Lite codec pack.
It's not a big deal to switch between the tracks but just wondering if there's a way that I can get it working on first load?
Thanks in advanced.

Re: Have to Cycle audio tracks for corret playback
Did you perhaps enable S/PDIF or HDMI passthrough?
Can you post a MediaInfo log for one of those MKV files? I assume the audio tracks have different audio formats.

Re: Have to Cycle audio tracks for corret playback
Thanks for the reply. I'm hoping this is what you meant by the media info log. If not please provide instructions (I'm brand new to all of this).
Definitely not using HDMI pass through or S/PDIF.
It looks like I'm getting JITTER (I found in the ffdshow audio decoder).
The other thing I noticed from the decoder was that the output changes from 16 bit integer to 32 bit float. Is there a way to set that as the default?
Thanks again for the help.

Re: Have to Cycle audio tracks for corret playback
No, jitter is something else.
It is strange that it switches from 16-bit to 32-bit float, because 32-bit float is disabled by default in ffdshow. Perhaps it switches to a different decoder, such as LAV Audio?
How are you toggling the audio? Because the file contains just one audio track. To be precise, it contains a DTS Master Audio track, with a DTS core. The DTS core should get decoded, since DTS-MA is not supported by default.
My suggestions at this point:
1) Update your sound driver
2) Disable DTS in ffdshow audio decoder. Then LAV Audio decoder should get used instead.
If you can give me the filename of this particular file, then I can download the same file and test it. Similar files I have here play fine, with any combination of splitters/decoders from the pack.
