Media Info Custom preset creation
Hello Everybody, my name is Patricio, and i have been questioning myself for quite a few years how to create a personal preset for the information that is adquired with Media Info. What I try to do exactly is that when i right click a multimedia file, and open it with Media info, I want to see the information in a compact view, such as the one that is shown in MPC when one press Shift+F10. My question using images would be: From this
=> To this
Any Suggestion of how could i create it/Steal it from MPC?
I have Windows 8.1 X64, with the latest version of K lite (K-Lite Codec Pack Update 10.5.2), and the version included in it of Media Info (0.7.69).
Thanks in Advance for your time reading.

Re: Media Info Custom preset creation
It is not possible to customize the output. The tool shows the standard MediaInfo output. The tool is not actively maintained so it is unlikelu that there will be any changes.
MPC-HC uses the exact same mediainfo.dll file. Only difference is that is uses slightly different options for formatting the output.

You could use that dll as you please .
you just need a background on programming
Because C++ is a little hard for beginner to learn and use it for real world app .
I suggest you learn C# and then use this page for console application and then move to WPF for a GUI

and then you can add your app in context menu with this article ...

The whole purpose of the current GUI is to be simple. There also is an official GUI for MediaInfo that offers more functionality.
The pack already adds it to the Explorer context menu. It even uses a better method, because it only shows up with audio and video file extension.
