How to install only 32-bit components?
Hey there.
Since the 32-bit and 64-bit components have been compiled into one package now: Is there any way to install just the 32-bit stuff?
I like to use SVP (Smooth Video Project) once in a while and it suddenly stopped working. My guess is, that since it doesn't work with 64-bit codecs, those might be the culprit now.
Much regards

Re: How to install only 32-bit components?
That is not possible. But it is also not the cause of your problem, so trying would be a waste of your time. The 64-bit codecs have no effect at all on SVP or any other 32-bit software.
SVP needs the AviSynth functionality of ffdshow, so perhaps the problem is that ffdshow was not loaded?
1) You can not use DXVA native hardware acceleration. That is not compatible with SVP.
2) ffdshow video decoder or raw video filter must be loaded. There is an option in the installer for that ("Process raw video").

Re: How to install only 32-bit components?
Thank you very much for the information.
I have LAV doing all the work, so I'm pretty sure ffdshow is not involved. I just didn't expect ffdshow to be absolutely mandatory to the process, since LAV is included in the full SVP package as well and it works fine if I install just that instead of k-lite. However the SVP crew rarely updates their full codec pack, so I'd rather use K-Lite with just the SVP core app.
I will try disabling DXVA and enabling RAW video processing via ffdshow and see if that helps.
Much regards

EDIT: Yay, that totally did the trick. Thank you so very much.
2nd EDIT: Does the involvement of ffdshow for processing the RAW video footage somehow decrease the overall quality of the decoded video?

Re: How to install only 32-bit components?
ffdshow won't hurt quality, but SVP does make big changes to the video. Some people like what SVP does, some people hate it.
As an alternative you could try MPC-HC with madVR as video renderer. Enable Smooth Motion option in madVR.
