MPC crashing on the latest intel drivers...

hello everyone...  

before I start here my system spec and codec

Dell XPS l702x  
I7 2670QM
kingston extreme 8gig
nvidia geforce GT 550M
win8.1 update 1
full codec 10.4.5

ok, my previous Intel drivers was "11/18/2013 15.28.20.64.3347" and the new one is "4/10/2014 15.28.22.64.3517".
All my mp4 work fine with my previous drivers combine with Intel QuickSync as my hardware decoding but now with the latest Intel driver MPC constantly crashing whenever i open mp4 with h.264
I did not have this problem before, and I switch decoding to my nvidia and is works fine. I hate using nvidia on my battery, because it drains my battery  quicker.The main reason I use the latest Intel drivers
because it fixed an issue I had whenever I close my laptop lid. Also I use WMP and work fine but I guess is using software mode or does WMP use hardware decoding too?  So what can be the problem?

Try DXVA2 (native) instead of QuickSync. That also works with your Intel GPU.

WMP does not use QuickSync. By default it uses Microsofts own decoder, which either uses DXVA2 or software decoding.

yea I tried that and still crashes.

Then you will have to use software decoding until Intel fixes their driver.
