No audio for AVI files containing MP3 audio in Windows Media Player 12
Maybe I'm just overly tired, but this one's got me stumped. Everything worked fine when I installed KLCP, but now for some reason I get no sound in Windows Media Player 12 (Win7-64bit) playing AVI files with MP3 audio. I can play the same files in Nero, WinAmp, and the DivX Player, and they work just fine. I can play AVI files containing AC3 audio in WMP12 and they work just fine. I've tried re-installing KLCP to no avail. I'm sure I'm missing something blatantly obvious, but obvious or not, I'm still missing it, so I need some help here.
Thanks in advance.

WMP12 uses codecs from Microsoft by default for playing many types of files.
You can use the Win7DSFilterTweaker tool to change the behavior of WMP12. Changing the preferred MP3 decoder to ffdshow will probably solve your problem.

Bingo! Yes, it was blatantly obvious, and yes, I missed it. Thanks!
