problem with passthrough
I recently bought a GT640. I connected to my home cinema samsung connected to the TV samsung.
The GT640 can transmit TrueHD through NVIDIA HD audio. But when I look in "supported formats" -> "encoded format", I see only DTS audio and Dolby Digital.
I had more supported formats with HD intel, it will be the Nvidia driver detects wrong the capacity of my home theater?

Does the TV support TrueHD? I looked in the manual of a high-end 2013 model Samsung TV and did not see TrueHD listed as a supported audio format.
Re: problem with passthrough
You could try updating the NVIDIA drivers.
Otherwise you may need to search for an "EDID ovverride" for your receiver.

That's what I thought. Do you know a good tutorial for this?

Re: problem with passthrough
It is possible that this is a system bug causing me to reformat to solve. Because before I had a GTX275 and it may be that in some cases it keeps the details without deleting the previous when replacing, but I've tried everything to remove them. I have the same bug with Nvidia experience that always sees the old and not the new.

Re: problem with passthrough
Uninstall all current NVIDIA drivers.
Then go to the device manager in the Windows Control Panel. Remove all NVIDIA devices related to your video card.
Then reboot.
Windows should then re-detect all devices. Hopefully all remains of your old hardware will be gone.

I've used DDU from guru3D forum, and goods news, this debug all my problem without "supported formats". Even EDID has been reset, I guess it must come from the audio driver is not finished.
The intel HDA detects without problem all the "encoded formats".
