MPC and PGS subtitles.
Hi,
I just want to know how to make PGS subtitles embedded display in MPC.
I tried to play with VLC, it works properly but just can't display while using MPC.
Can somebody help?
Thank you.

Re: MPC and PGS subtitles.
MPC-HC options > Subtitles > Maximum Texture Resolution > set it to (at least) 1920x1080
A smaller resolution will not work, because PGS subtitles are usually designed for 1080p video.

Re: MPC and PGS subtitles.
I followed the instruction and make the change but the subtitles still cannot display, why?
Any other options need to set?
Thanks in advance.

Re: MPC and PGS subtitles.
I assume that you are able to select the subtitle and the problem is only with the display?
If you are using Windows XP, then you need to enable the internal subtitle renderer and select a compatible video renderer.
options > playback > autoload subtitles
options > playback > output
By default xy-VSFilter is used on XP. That supports PGS just fine. However, it won't show subs if the video resolution is lower than 1080p, for example if it was cropped or downsized to 720p.
Can you tell me which movie you are having troubles with? Preferably with a download link (torrent, nzb). Then I can test it.

Re: MPC and PGS subtitles.
I changed options > playback > output > DirectShow Video to Video Mixing Renderer 9 (renderless)
Now the PGS subtitles can display properly.
Thanks for the help.
