X64 Configuration Empty X64 Configuration

hi
In new version x64 and x86 be Integrated this is cool but when i play a video still use x86 decoder
is there some setting that should i do ?
i have suggestion that during installation we choose x64 or 86 set up for codec

It depends on the player which codecs are used. A x86 player will use the x86 codecs and a x64 player will use the x64 codecs.

The x86 version of MPC-HC provides the best quality and compatibility. Using the x64 version would bring much more disadvantages than advantages. You would for example not be able to use madVR and it also is not able to play a few (rare) audio and video formats.

I use 64 Bit player and codec since 10.6.5 version can't event see a difference. Mainly play H.264 video with AC3 sound.

There is only a quality difference when using madVR instead of the default video renderer.

Starting from version 10.8.0, we no longer need DirectX drivers to install and run 64-bit MPC-HC media player. Smile
