No sound in certain videos
Hello,
I'm having an issue with a .webm-video file not having any sound, no matter if I use MPC-HC or WMP.
Instead of showing the two speakers in the right bottom corner of MPC-HC, it just shows the speaker icon with an X, as if there is no sound track available which I guess is the same if the codec is missing or not properly configured.
Media Info says this about the codec used:
I tried installing the codec from
http://xiph.org/dshow/downloads/
(opencodecs_0.85.17777.exe to be exact)
but with no effect on the problem.
I first noticed on a K-Lite Full installation, tried to use Mega but still didn't work.
Maybe I had to tick a check box I missed during installation?
Any help installing or properly configuring the codec to work in MPC-HC (don't really care for WMP) would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Motaq
PS: Another issue I just remembered which was similar was having a Speex-codec in an .flv-video file I downloaded from Twitch.tv, which also had no sound but picture. Not that high priority tbh, but if there is a way to remedy this too I'd love to hear it .

Re: No sound in certain videos
All those formats are normally already supported by the pack. The Xiph codecs should not be needed.
If you can upload those files for me, then I can forward them to the developers. They should be able to fix the problems once they have a sample to reproduce the issues.
