No sound at all
Today when I played a movie, there were no sound. Strange, 'cause yesterday there was, and I've no been doing something with MPC...
Well, so I tried to reinstall my K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, but I still get no sound... Any suggestions?

Re: No sound at all
I am assuming sound is only broken in MPC and not in other applications.
Did you perhaps open a .swf file with MPC? If so, open a .swf file again, mute, then unmute. Then sound should work again.
If you are using Windows 7, then right-click on the Windows volume system tray icon, choose "Open Volume Mixer". There you should see a volume option for MPC (when it is active). Maybe its muted there.
A third possible solution is this FAQ entry:

Re: No sound at all
Oh, deleting that folder in the registry did the trick! No idea why the registry started to fail in the first place, but now it works fine. The only thing I can recall is an update to FireFox 20, but that can't have anything to do with it can it?
And good point that about the Volume Mixer, you often forget about that one.
Anyway, thanks a LOT. This made my day .
