FLV Icon Overlay
For FLV files on Windows 7, the thumbnail icon preview shows the media player classic logo. All other file types don't have the logo on the thumbnail. How do I get rid of it? In the codec tweak tool, I have it set to hide the video reel overlay (I'm assuming this is the overlay on the thumbnail that looks like a film strip?) and the filetype icon overlay.

Re: FLV Icon Overlay
Codec Tweak Tool > Thumbnails > uncheck FLV, press apply, then enable it again and press apply.
Then clear the cache and reboot
Codec Tweak Tool > Thumbnails > Options > Clear cache
Then clear the cache and reboot
Codec Tweak Tool > Thumbnails > Options > Clear cache
Re: FLV Icon Overlay
Strange. The filetype overlay option applies globally To all Video files. Look in the registry of the perceivedtype value of .flv is perhaps set to audio.
Re: FLV Icon Overlay
There is no perceivedtype value for flv in the registry.

Then add it. Soms program must have removed it. Re-installing the pack should also restore a missing value
Re: FLV Icon Overlay
I added it, then redid the steps you posted above, but FLV files still have the little MPC logo in the corner of the thumbnail, and all other videos do not. It looks better with it not there.

Re: FLV Icon Overlay
I don't know why it happens. You could try searching the whole registry or .flv and see if you can find anything unusual.
