MadVR, desktop composition and Windows 8
I had this particular option checked, as it reduced tearing in Windows 7 and made for smoother videos overall. However, I've gotten some conflicting info about whether or not you can even disable desktop composition in Windows 8... So, does it work in Windows 8 at all with this option checked? I mean, videos play with it checked just fine, as I've tried it, but can it or does it even actually disable desktop composition? Given that there are differences between each OS, is there any benefit (or harm) to disabling Aero (or what's left of it) in Windows 8 compared to Windows 7? Thanks in advance.

Desktop composition is always enabled on Windows 8. It can't be disabled anymore as far as I know.
