How to create a proper forum post

To be able to help you quickly and efficiently you need to provide as much relevant information as possible. Here is a list of things that you could include in your post:

  • A clear description of your problem.
  • If your problem only occurs in specific situations, then please say when it happens and when it does not happen.
  • Mention which version of Windows you are using.
  • Mention which version of the codec pack you are using.
  • Mention the solutions you have already tried without success. That saves us the trouble of suggesting things you have already tried.
  • If the problem occurs with a specific files, then please include details about the file. You can use the MediaInfo tool that is included with the codec pack to get very detailed information.
  • When you get an error, please mention the exact error message in your post.
