VVC support (where is ffmpeg?) Empty VVC support (where is ffmpeg?)

FFmpeg refuses to officially include VVC decoding but there are unofficial patches for this. I was going to get the patched ffmpeg and replace the one in the K-Lite Codec Pack folder with it, except I can't find it in the filters folder. What happened?

It is not possible to simply replace files with a custom ffmpeg. It is build specifically for LAV Filters.

VVC patches were added to official FFmpeg this week. It is still a work in progress, as the developers are still working on assembly code for improving decoding performance.

So support for it will be included in next big update of LAV Filters. That will probably be in a few months from now.

Well that sucks. Is there a way to get it working with Avisynth or will I have to convert the file to Y4M with ffmpeg?

You have to convert it.
