MpcImageSource64.ax detected as ransomware by F-Secure!

You need to report false positive detections to F-Secure. Only they can fix it. Their software should have ability to submit file or make a report.

I have reported it a week ago, but nothing happens!

I have also got a report from Avira of a Trojan Horse in the same file. TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen is reported according to Avira. I'll try to download the latest codec pack and scan again.

I downloaded the latest mega pack 17.7.5 and did a new install and get the same Trojan horse warning BUT in the file  MpcImageSource.ax which is not showing in the folder MPCImageSource only MpcImageSource64.ax (on Windows 10 home 64 bit).
I assume Avira has removed the file.
Edit - add- I see the files are sitting in Avira's quarantine.

VirusTotal shows no detection for Avira for the 32-bit file. So maybe already fixed.

F-Secure still flags it as ransomware. I reported it also as a false positive.

I updated to latest megapack and then the update 17.8.2, ran a full system scan with Avira free anti-virus and got no reported trojan horse. So I assume the update has solved the problem.

Surfshark Av module is flagging MpcImageSource.ax As TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen basically a crypto mining worm. All previous updates went without a hitch.

It is a false positive detection. You need to report it to your anti-virus vendor.
