K-Lite MEGA 17.7.3 bug

After I updated to K-Lite MEGA 17.7.3, my 10-bit videos have slight pauses almost every second. No problem with 8-bit videos. As K-Lite doesn't allow me to install earlier version, I had to uninstall the software and reinstall back to 17.7.1. Then the videos played without jerks.

Please allow us to install earlier versions over later versions so that we don't uninstall and reinstall.

You can install older version on top if you use the normal installer. You can't do it with update pack.

Does 17.7.2 work ok?

There have been just been small changes in MPC Video Renderer. Do your files contain HDR or Dolby Vision?

Version 17.7.3 now works fine. The recent installation changed the Playback-Output setting to MPC Video Renderer. When I changed it back to 'Enhanced Video Presenter (custom presenter)', the playback no longer have slight pauses on 10-bit videos.

I don't think my videos have Dolby Vision but I'm not sure about HDR.

I have always used 'Enhanced Video Presenter (custom presenter)' setting as other settings cause problems for me.

Which graphics card do you have?

Intel(R) UHD Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce MX250

on my ASUS VivoBook S15 laptop.

MPC Video Renderer should be able to run fine on those GPUs.

Maybe an Intel driver update will fix it.

I installed an Intel driver update but still no change for MPC Video Renderer with or without hardware acceleration for 10 bit videos. No problem with 8 bit videos.

I'm happy with 'Enhanced Video Presenter (custom presenter)' for playing 8 bit and 10 bit videos. Which is why you have given several options for Output.
