17.5.8 crashes

Hello i noticed that mpc crashes with the new version if i try to go to madvr settings or lav decoder settings ( video,audio)
anyone else notice it?

i also tried full uninstall but problem continue

I also have noticed sometimes that when i am watching sometimes a movie the screen freeze and the audio still plays and i have to close the player and open it again.. i think this happens with madvr because if i use another player ( pot player ) with madvr this happens again.. not everytime but often

You can press Ctrl+E to quickly reload a file.

I suspect the problem might be caused by a graphics driver crash or timeout. The driver will reload itself, but may break playback when that happens. You might be able to find is this is the case in the Windows Event Viewer.

I dont get any crash from my graphics driver.. also i am always updated to my graphics card driver and this happens to me from the time i tried to use madvr

Try MPC Video Renderer instead.

Madvr is currently not under active development.

It happens randomly during playback.. so you suggest to use the default renderer

Which GPU do you have?

Otherwise I can only suggest to experiment with different madvr settings. First test if you can reproduce it with default madvr settings.

I have the amd rx590 and i havent changed any of the settings of madvr..

I don't have a solution for madvr.
