Blank Error when i use MPC BE

Hi. After the new stable update today 16.8.5 when I play any video of any format I get a blank error with no message. The video still plays normally after I close the blank error pop up, but that message is annoying and I can't get rid of it. Previous update from 25.02 I got an error that blocked the player it was kernel-based.If I downgrade to 16.8.0 all problems disappear and it works flawlessly.It is just my PC or there is a problem with the update?I did a fast update then a fast downgrade not removed everything and did a fresh install. I am unable to reproduce that blank error. Does the message also have an empty titlebar?

Can you test if 16.8.3 works without error for you?

Does the empty error also occur on files that do not have subtitles?

Yes i get MPC-BE Unspecified Error thats the title of the error.The file has subs

Can you test a file that does not have subtitles? Then I know if the problem is related to subtitles or not. Otherwise it might be a problem with the file history option.

Same error with a file without subs.Thx a lot for taking your time to solve this problem

Then please test this:
MPC-HC options > Player > uncheck "Keep history of recently opened files"

That is just a workaround, not yet a fix. So I still need to figure out why it happens.

Does the error come back if you enable the option again?
It should have cleared the recent file list here:
Menu > File > Recent Files

The error disappeared completely even if i check the option back,but idk if it will return after I restart my PC,it is quite late here so I cant give another fast reply

I finally have been able to reproduce the problem. Should be fully fixed in next version.
