IPINFO.IO Contacted Domain - K Lite Mega Codec 15.0.9

Hi, i've been using K-Lite Mega Codec Pack more than 5 years. Thanks..  

In the last update of K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (15.0.9) Virustotal flagged a domanin which is ipinfo.io and K Lite Codec contacted.

15.0.4 has even more..

15.0.0 doesn't have this. Is it a new future (and Why?) or Virustotal forgot to show this domain in early verisons of K-Lite Mega Codec Pack?

Nothing to worry about.

Ipinfo is used to gather country code. Analytics is used to count the number of installations. No personal data is being transmitted, basically it is just "installed 1509 mega".

Older versions also do it.
