LAV Splitter subtitle preferences not applying
Hi there, hope your day's going well. I'm having some trouble getting MPC to respect my subtitle preferences in Splitter. I have Subtitle Selection Mode set to Advanced and the code is eng:off *:eng . Subtitles still show up for eng audios however. This is on a new install of KLite, where on a previous install I had no trouble getting subtitles to not appear, even with pgs, srt, vobsub. Some extra info to help:
-latest versions of KLite and Windows
-using Internal Subtitle Renderer
-"Allow overriding external splitter choice" is unchecked
-during install I checked "Install codecs only for MPC" and "Install x64 versions of components only"
-unsure if relevant, but my Subtitle Track menu (on right click while movie playing), has "Hide Subtitles" instead of the "Enable" option of my older MPC install version

Re: LAV Splitter subtitle preferences not applying
Hey! It seems to have worked, thank you. Though, I do have to manually deselect subtitles for previously played movies before they respect Splitter preference. An eng movie with subtitles already enabled would keep opening with subtitles regardless of eng:off. Once manually turned off, no subtitles on subsequent openings. Does file history keep track of subtitle selection? it could be overriding the Splitter
If you're not busy, another question: could increasing the Queue Settings in the Splitter help movies load in faster? Max Memory is 1024 (I changed), Max Packets is 2880

Yes, history remembers track selection.
Increasing queue does not load faster. It would be slightly slower.

I see. So Packets, if anything, should be decreased or left alone. How about for memory, should I change it back to default? My thinking is more dedicated memory would be a good thing

Unless you are having a problem, there is generally no reason to change the defaults.

There's no benefit? I'll just change it back then, thank you again my guy
