Audio difficultys with .mkv
So i understand that when playing .mkv files sometimes audio is sent straight to my speakers through my hdmi connection on my computer.
It wouldn't be so much of a problem except i can't adjust the volume through media player classic, rather i have to adjust volume through my soundbar remote control.
And then i can't set it back to where is was originally.
Is there anyway to bypass this? Or set it so i can adjust the volume through media player classic or windows bottom right sound icon.

Re: Audio difficultys with .mkv
All you need to do is disable audio bitstreaming.
Codec Tweak Tool > Audio Output
Codec Tweak Tool > Audio Output

Thanks for that, its not completely obvious that is how you do it. Thanks heaps for your help. Can delete this because of course the solution would be somewhere i just wasn't able to find it.

Bitstreaming is normally off by default. You must have enabled it during installation.
