How can I properly play MIDI files on Windows 10?
Hi, I was wondering how can I play MIDI files properly on my computer? I have Tried Middi mapper and K-Lite Codec Pack, neither have worked.
I have Windows 10, version 21H1.
Is it there any way to fix this? Please let me know.
Also English isn't my mother language, sorry if there's any mistake.

Midi playback is done using standard codecs that are bundled with Windows. You can not solve your problem by installing extra codecs.
If MIDI isn't working for you then it might be due to a problem with the sound driver. It might not support MIDI output. Try updating/re-installing your sound driver.
In GraphStudioNext (bundled in MEGA) you can test playback using chain of these three filters:
File Source (Async) + MIDI mapper + Default MIDIOut device

Huh.... so there's actually nothing left that can be done... I really wanted to hear the original MIDI of some songs I had on my computer, but I guess there's no point in trying anymore. Thanks for the help anyway.

No, you might be able to fix it by installing the proper sound driver.
MIDI playback works fine for me on Windows 10 and 11.
