Sony A7S III , HEVC - 100.000 FPS Unable to play without cuts
Hello I have recently purchased a Sony A7S III.
Install Windows codec for your Movies & TV player
https://www.microsoft.com/es-es/p/extensiones-de-video-hevc/9nmzlz57r3t7?activetab=pivot:overviewtab
But after installation I get this error

So I decided to keep using my K - codec Pack
MPC-HC (Nightly, 64-bit) Version: 1.9.8.78 (4cb11b747)
Compiler: MSVC v19.26.28806
Build date: Dec 11 2020
In my opinion I think that although you are a few years old, my computer is quite powerful:
Hardware:
CPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i7 CPU X 980 @ 3.33GHz
GPU1: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (driver version: 27.21.14.5730)
RAM: 24gb
I leave you the file and system data and a video of how I reproduce it.
I honestly don't know how to fix it, because I want to record at 4k 120fps
It is an incredible camera, but I am not able to display the videos correctly with:
Edition - Windows 10 Pro / Version - 20H2 / Installed on 10/12/2020
Operating system version 19042.685
I'm using:

Re: Sony A7S III , HEVC - 100.000 FPS Unable to play without cuts
That codec is made by Microsoft.
The problem seems to be that your video uses HEVC Format Range (rext) profile and 4:2:2 chroma sampling. That variant of the HEVC video format cant not be decoded with hardware acceleration, so that is the reason why it is not working with that decoder.
And even with "normal" HEVC, you hardware can only decode up to 60 fps.
So only suggestion I have for you is to convert the video to normal HEVC with 60fps (if you record at 120fps) or 50 fps (if you record at 100fps). Or maybe your camera offers options to record with different settings.

I understand that you are talking about the Microsoft codec, but my question is because the sample video is with the player and codecs from k-codec Pack
That is, I do not understand the hardware accelerator much, is it the graph itself? So you should buy a more powerful one.?
In that case, what would your advice be?
Thank you.

Re: Sony A7S III , HEVC - 100.000 FPS Unable to play without cuts
The Microsoft codec is the one you installed for the Movies&TV player.
Media Player Classic from K-Lite can play it as shown in your Youtube video. But decoding is not smooth because the video is too hard to decode in realtime and hardware acceleration is not possible.
You need a much faster processor (CPU).
Or you need to convert the video to lower framerate or to other video format such as H.264.

For example the new AMD Ryzen CPUs are 4 to 5 times faster than your current CPU.
