Motion blur on a 120 hz display Empty Motion blur on a 120 hz display

I'm having a problem with motion blur on my display (which is 120 hz). It is noticeable whenever there is a fast moving panning shot, or fast moving credits. Reducing the refresh rate in my screen settings doesn't solve the problem and introduces other problems. Does anyone know how to deal with this? I use madvr as my video renderer (changing to other video renderers also doesn't solve the problem).

You could try the "smooth motion" option in madvr. But panning/scrolling stuff in 24fps video always looks bad, even on much lower refreshrates. Our eyes/brains simply don't like such motion.

I have some more things to report. The smooth motion option doesn't help. More interesting, it does not occur in darker scenes, and turning the brightness and contrast way down does indeed make it disappear even from brighter scenes. So it is probably a problem with the panel itself.

Yes, some screens suffer from ghosting/blur.
