Can't disable Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder x64
In the MS Codec Tweaks section, I disable all of them because I have set up my filters just how I like them with global functionality (for multiple media programs).
But for a few months now I have been unable to disable that darned Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder x64. No matter how many times I try, the box stays unchecked after reload. Apply & Apply+Close have no effect.
Anyone else have such an issue? I'm on W10 Home v1803. K-lite 14.5.7 Mega.

Weird. Normally it should show an error in case of failure.
What it does is rename c:\windows\system32\msmpeg2vdec.dll to msmpeg2vdec.dll.bak
Perhaps Windows is automatically restoring the file. Or something else is blocking/reverting the change. See what happens if you manually renaming the file. You also need to adjust security permissions for the file first. Change ownership to Administrators group.
