EDID TV and ampli with Nvidia
this is my config:
a TV Samsung with xvYcc
a HC Samsung 5.1 virtual 7.1 with blue-ray player
a PC with gt640 353.06
all connected with HDMI
When connected the PC to TV, I have in Nvidia 12bpc (RGB and YCbCr444) but 2.0 audio output and bitstream spdif mode
When connected the PC to HC, I have'nt 12bpc but 8 channels audio output
How do it resolve? The wasapi can help me?

Re: EDID TV and ampli with Nvidia
Do you see any difference between 8bps and 12bpc? Most TVs process the images internally in just 8 bits (or even less). If so, for optimal quality you should use madVR as video renderer. Enable its D3D11 mode and 10bit output. Use RGB in NVIDIA settings.
wasapi will not help if the EDID indicates that it only supports stereo. One of the HDMI connections on your TV should have a audio return channel which you can use to send the audio to the HC.
Also make sure you have proper HDMI cables that support HDMI version 1.4.

Re: EDID TV and ampli with Nvidia
The HDMI cable for TV to HC is a HDMI 1.4 with Ethernet and PC to TV is HDMI High speed
My TV have "Wide Color Enhancer Plus" (theoretic 30bit).

Re: EDID TV and ampli with Nvidia
I don't see any audio or bitdepth info in those EDIDs.

Re: EDID TV and ampli with Nvidia
ha sorry for partial EDID. I understand, no choice. A forum to advise me?
And I have on my TV a setting for enable xvYcc, when I put it off with the YCbCr on Nvidia setting I have the same colors than RGB full range; when enable it, it's more red.

Re: EDID TV and ampli with Nvidia
The 12bps isn't going to make much difference when you are playing regular 8bit content.
