How to change Decode Method

Hello All,

When one installs the package before the installation several questions are asked with some options. One of them is related to the hardware acceleration and there you should choose preferred decode method. The default choice is Use software decoder the second is the nVidia CUVID and etc.

I was not able to find how to change this option after the package is installed. Is it possible to do this? Please point me to a topic if this is already asked.

You can change it in the video decoder.
Start > Programs > K-Lite Codec Pack > Configuration > LAV Video decoder

In case you enabled hardware acceleration together with the option to only use it in MPC-HC then:
MPC-HC Options > Internal Filters > Video Decoder
