wma.asx stream and K-Lite/MPC

Is it normal that i can't play wma.asx streams with K-Lite and MPC?

Does the same stream work correctly with WMP? It is possible the stream is offline.

If it works with WMP, then please post the URL of the stream. Then the MPC-HC developers might be able to fix it.

I notice that it only works if i save the "wma.asx" file on the Hard Disk Drive and then run it.

That stream works here if I copy the URL into MPC-HC. It might be possible that there is a bug with http:// handling in your current version of LAV Splitter. Update to the latest version of the pack. A new version (10.2. should be available soon.

Yes copying the link works but not if you click on the link because then MPC opens with the error message "File not found" i tried it also with K-Lite Codec Pack 10.2.8.

That also works here with both Internet Explorer and Firefox. The file association might be broken.

Strange Strange i tried it on a new Windows XP installation with IE and FF but no luck same on my Windows 7.

Next version might add a file association option the installer for .asx. Maybe that will help.

I also noticed that if MPC is open and i click then on the link then it works but if MPC is closed and i then click on the link then MPC opens with the error message "File not found".
