FFDshow 4xxx doen't work with latest VirtualDup 1.10.4

I use VirtualDup to cut (HQ) avi video files. If I install ffdshow v2946 it works fine, but with installed ffdshow from Codec Pack (which presumes uninstall ffdshow 2946) I become eror messages, if I want to encode. After reinstall old ffdshow over Codec Pack it works fine, whatever if encoding process is started manual from VirtualDup or over from Coldcut.
I'll become "Cannot start video compression: An unknown eror occurred (may be corrupt data). (error code -100)"

Can you cut a sample from such a file for me? Use "direct stream copy" in VirtualDub. A few seconds is long enough.

"direct stream copy" works and the result size is the same. So I write the Coldcut developer for the parameter for VirtualDub '/cmd "VirtualDub.video.SetMode(0)'.

Edit: the developer wrote, that he doesn't work anymore on coldcut. It's too bad that on Windows is it not possible to work like in linux with virtual envs, where you can have for this case your own environment and all modern software and codecs will not affected.

Do you mean that the file created using "direct stream copy" doesn't have the same problem as the original file? The only thing that direct stream copy does is remux the audio and video. That is why size is the same. It or course also allows you to cut just a piece of the video.

You can create a virtual environment on Windows with VirtualBox.
