Mega Pack 12.9.5 Hash Not Matching

The update notifier found version 12.9.5 so went to the site to download mega pack to update.

For the first time in recollection the hash won't match to the ones on the download page, either md5 or sha256.

Tried on downloads from mirrors 1, 2, and 4, the hashes on the mirrors match one another, however.

Tried the calculator on an older pack and it reported the correct hash.

According to Microsoft 1024bpk convention, the file size seems close enough to the download page record.

Norton Insight trusts the download, and apparently several thousands have downloaded this pack.

I have checked and the downloads have the correct hashes. They match with the website and my local files. I have checked all 6 mirrors.

Which calculator are you using?

You can double-check your file with http://www.virustotal.com which also shows all hashes on the "additional information" link on the scan results page.

I have been using onlinemd5.com up until now, and it gave positive results every time I used it before this case.

I have used a local app in the past until I found the site above, but this has been about 2 years without incident. Also it definitely does work on older downloads from this site as I had an archived download that I tested and the hash matched. (Mega 12.8.5 incidentally.) It seems it can't be trusted fully now.

Tried that site and I get the same incorrect hash as you. A few other files gave correct hashes. So it is probably a minor bug somewhere it its code.

VirusTotal also calculates the hash locally. It only uploads if the file is not yet known.
