pixel dimensions

Post by stevetheelk on Wed Jun 15, 2016 7:54 pm

Hi Everyone.
I'm trying to use some really odd shaped videos. I'm talking around 8000 pixels across.
I've got to around 4000 with with AVI files and an MP4 encoded video stream and using XVid codec to play the files, but it struggles with anything higher.
Is anyone aware of a list of codecs/containers maximum dimensions?
Equally is anyone aware of a codec able to deal with really big dimensions?
Thanks.
