I cant install K-lite Mega because I see this error. I instalapp in Administrator mode.

Which file(s) are giving that error?

This error means there is a missing dependency. That should not happen under normal circumstances.

Please do this:
1) Click "ignore" when you get this error. The installer will then continue.
2) Get the Dependency Walker tool:
http://www.dependencywalker.com/
3) Open the file that gave the error with Dependency Walker. It should show what is missing. (missing delay load items can be ignored, those are normal and harmless)

all LAV .ax files give error

Are you using a Windows 10 insider build? There seems to be an issue with the latest one.

Please do the Dependency Walker test. It might provide useful information. For example to report bug to Microsoft.

I have Windows 10 Preview 14251 - is there someone with this build and same problem?

Exact same issue here - Preview 14251 as well - I really hope you guys can fix this or offer a work around. Really starting to miss my K-Lite

Same here: Unable to register all LAV files. Build 14251 as well. Tried K-lite 1155/1188/1190.

Work around: use ffdshow filter instead of LAV

Is only LAV Filters giving the error, or Icaros thumbnailprovider as well?

Thumbnails do not show on any movies.

I am installing build 14251 now.

As a workaround you guys can use the old 11.2.0 version of the codec pack. That works without error.

Or revert to the previous build of Windows 10.

Or you can use MPC-HC standalone until fix version

Why the 11.2.0 works and the last one not?

There will hopefully be a patch or a new Windows 10 build soon that fixes this.

I'm using latest build of windows insider as well. but all EXT-MS-WIN are giving an error.

You can ignore those API-MS-WIN and EXT-MS-WIN errors. Windows 10 uses a different mechanism for loading system API DLLs.

The problem is caused by a bug in Windows. We just have to wait until Microsoft fixes it.
