Re: How to play avs file?
If you installed the 32-bit version of AviSynth, then you need to use a 32-bit player for .avs files.
Run the K-Lite installer again. Uncheck "Perform quick upgrade". Select the x86 version of Media Player Classic (keep the x64 enabled as well). Select the x86 MPC when asked about file associations and enable only .avs. Don't change anything else. The existing file associations for the x64 MPC will continue to exist.

there's only x86 version of Windows Media Player and not the classic, i did as you told me it played the avs file with x86 version of Windows Media Player sound only without the video... do i have to tweak something in the codec tweak tool?

Re: How to play avs file?
Codec Tweak Tool > Preferred Splitters > AviSynth > LAV Splitter
Are you using the Basic version of the pack? Media Player Classic is only included with Standard version and larger.

Re: How to play avs file?
You should be able to see it on the "Select Components" page in the installer.
Using WMP should work too after changing the preferred splitter.
