Load Subtitles On MPC With Win10 Empty Load Subtitles On MPC With Win10

Post by Ag47 Fri Aug 14, 2015 6:19 am

I meet difficulties loading subtitles according to the language with lav splitter:

I would like to configure in the following way:

- French > no subtitles or forced subtitles
- Japanese > all French subtitles (default and forced)
- English: French subtitle

I take this fra:*|df;fra:off;*:fra;*:eng;*:*|df;jap:fra|df but It does not work

i am under win10 and the last version of Klite Codec Pack.

Thanks for your help.

fra:*|df;fra:off;
= for French audio load subtitles that are tagged as either default or forced. You mentioned you only want forced ones. In that case you should remove the d.
*:fra;*:eng;
= For other languages load French or English subtitles
*:*|df;
= If no match yet, load any default or forced subtitle
jap:fra|df
= This will never match because it is a subset of *:fra

Can you give a list of audio streams and subtitles for a file that doesn't behave as you want?

Load Subtitles On MPC With Win10 Empty Re: Load Subtitles On MPC With Win10

Hello

Thank your for your return.

I have this

For a movie
audio :
fre > french
eng > english

sub > fre

For the movie, I want only audio french without subtitles.

For an anime :

audio : jpn > Japonese
fre : french

Subtitles : fre forced and default

In this case, I want to prefer the japonese audio and subtitles french forced and/or default.

For exemple for this, I have the anime Black Bullet and the subtitle must be selected manually.

Thank you for your help.

Selecting Japanese audio for that anime video can be a problem. If you want that you need to set an empty audio language list in LAV Splitter. Because having French as a preferred audio language would make it select the French track. With an empty list it will select whatever audio language is marked as default, or just the first track if there is no default.

Maybe it fails for first file because the file uses "fre" instead of "fra".

Try this:
fra:*|df;fre:*|df;fra:off;fre:off;*:fra;*:fre;*:eng;*:*|df

That won't have any effect since it is a subset of *:fra;*.fre.

Did adding "fre" work?

You should try this:
audio = jpn, fra, fre, eng
subs = fra:*|df;fre:*|df;fra:off;fre:off;*:fra;*:fre;*:eng;*:*|df
