It is not the job of the video decoder to perform resizing. That is the job of the video renderer, and it is done automatically. You don't need to do it manually.
If you are not satisfied with the standard resizing quality, then there are two way to improve it.
1) For the standard video renderer of MPC-HC:
MPC-HC Options > Playback > Output > Resizer > select Bicubic. The value of A controls the sharpness, so try the three different ones and use the one that you like best.
2) Select madVR as video renderer in MPC-HC. This offers high quality scaling algorithms such as Jinc3 and many other settings.

Re: LAV Video Decoder
In case of WMP the standard hardware resizer of your graphics card is used. That depend on the brand and model of you GPU. For example Intel uses something comparable to Lanczos, which is quite good quality.
Have you done a comparison with and without ffdshow resizing? You should not blindly assume that ffdshow actually improves anything.

Re: LAV Video Decoder
There are no settings. It happens automatically when you resize the player window or play in fullscreen (press F11).
Re: LAV Video Decoder
When i play a video i get ffdshow Audio Decoder + LAV Audio Decoder
here is the pic
i was thinking is there a way i can get ffdshow Video Decoder + Lav Video Decoder, then i might be able to re-size video

Re: LAV Video Decoder
It is only possible to use ffdshow instead of LAV Video decoder in WMP. You can't use both.
But the standard hardware resizer of your Intel GPU should give superior quality, so I still don't understand why you want to do it manually.

because i don't know how this works. when i play in WMP and enter in full screen mode by pressing F11 and or double clicking, video doesn't resize to screen resolution

Re: LAV Video Decoder
So the video stays the exact same size? And you get black bars all around the video? That is not normal.

Re: LAV Video Decoder
Try re-installing WMP:
1) Start > Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows Features on or off > uncheck "Media Features"
2) Reboot.
3) Then re-enable it.
