Movie Maker will not play video after K-Lite install

When I import videos to movie maker it is black, no video only audio. I saw in your Q & A to fix in to the tools menu of movie maker. There is NO tools menu in movie maker 2012. Please help.

What kind of files are you importing? You can get details by right-clicking on a file in Explorer and choosing MediaInfo.

I have tried AVI & MGPP. It worked fine before for regular MP4 files, I downloaded the k-lite because the MGPP was not playing sound. It plays sound now and video in Media player, but no video only sound in movie maker.

AVI files can contain many different video formats. The MediaInfo details will show which kind it contains.
I am not familiar with the MGPP format.

You can convert it to normal MP4 with Handbrake.

Both files do not have the correct file extension. You should rename both to .3gp

I did that and now the video will play in movie maker, however the whole video (in movie maker) does not have sound again, should i just uninstall the k-lite

Could you perhaps record a sample video with your camera for me? Upload it to a site like http://www.sendspace.com and copy the download link here.
I can then test the file in Movie Maker and perhaps find a proper solution for you.
