Can Quicktime Alternative and regular QT be on same computer XP or 7
Hi,
I have been using MPEG_StreamClip and it requires QT Alternative 1.8.1.
I now want to start my Cubase SE 3 but it stops at the opening panel loading Quicktime.
I was wondering whether the Alt QT and regular QT can co exist on the same box?
Cubase has always just worked before I loaded QT Alt. 1.8.1. Maybe the later Alt versions work.
Before I start pulling things apart I thought I'd ask.
Thanks
oz

You can't use both at same time. Streamclip also works fine with regular QuickTime.
There are lots of other free video converters. For example Handbrake and Avidemux. For making DVDs, there is DVDStyler.

Thanks !
I did get Alt QT 3.2.2 and Cubase now works fine.
I'll just reload 1.8.1 when I need MPEG_StreamClip.
