green stripe & changing colors
for a while i have problem with some movies under .flv format with a top green line, & black & white movie.
i'vd tried with other programs &with kmplayer it does work but it's a slow program.
so i guess it's a problem with codecs.
thank's.

Re: green stripe & changing colors
MPC-HC options > Playback > Output > select "Video Mixing Renderer 9 (renderless)"
You probably also need to update your graphics driver.

Re: green stripe & changing colors
it's working now.
when i changed all three direct show & real media & quick time to "Video Mixing Renderer 9 (renderless)" the format of lines changed, so i changed the direct show to "Video Mixing Renderer 7 (renderless)" & it's working fine.
thank's.

Re: green stripe & changing colors
I had similar green bars on screen - in my case, a series of wide vertical ones across the entire picture - when playing in overlay. Renderless mode indeed fixed that, but it is more demanding to system resources, and some HD videos were lagging in it (it was also distorting colors a little).
This is what I did to resolve this:
- (had no effect) tried tweaking decoder options & switching between LAV/ffdshow/MPC versions
- (had no effect) reinstalled video card driver
- installed several old versions of K-Lite Codec Pack (Full) in succession, trying to pin the bug occurrence on a specific one. I was choosing to reset all settings each time, and making sure to select "overlay mixer" in MPC settings.
Surprisingly, I came all the way to the newest version (and tried Mega as well), and the bars never appeared!
- then i run the player under a non-admin user, and they appeared again! darn! Fortunately, resetting everything with Codec Tweak Tool run as that user fixed that, too.

Re: green stripe & changing colors
Each user account has its own settings. The installer can only configure the admin account. That other user account was probably using the default settings of MPC-HC if you didn't adjust it manually. A reset with CTT will apply the correct settings as chosen in the installer.
I would be interested in your system details.
CTT > Generate Log > System Information
Which renderers have the problem?
